In order to support our products, we needed a suite of tools that allowed us to monitor COM ports and script dialogs back and forth with the devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"660\" height=\"449\" src=\"https:\/\/www.darkbluemonkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/capture.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-60\" style=\"width:455px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.darkbluemonkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/capture.jpg 660w, https:\/\/www.darkbluemonkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/capture-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A programmable terminal emulator I wrote to script re-configuration activities for certain serial-connected devices. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I never properly &#8220;hardened&#8221; them for general consumer use, but they did get a<br>LOT of use at the company we worked for, thanks to the many thousands of devices we needed to reconfigure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve finally had a chance to upgrade them to Visual Studio 2019 and I&#8217;ve uploaded them into the site. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve also finished tagging all the Nature images on the site, which didn&#8217;t take long, but was just one thing left to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m going to see what else I can find in the old development folders to upload, there&#8217;s loads of useful tools I&#8217;ve made for myself over the years\u2026..
